What This Means for Devotees

For regular pilgrims and first-time visitors alike, these new updates mean that spontaneous trips to Tirumala are becoming increasingly difficult. TTD’s new rules are designed to completely eliminate touts and middlemen, ensuring that only genuine devotees get the opportunity to have a peaceful darshan of Srivaru. If you previously relied on travel agents to book your tickets using alternative IDs, you must now take full control of your own booking process.

The implementation of strict facial recognition means the person whose Aadhaar card is registered during the online booking must physically be present at the queue complex. The scanners will match your face with the database in real-time. If there is a mismatch, entry will be strictly denied, and no appeals will be entertained. Furthermore, reporting times are now absolute. If your ticket states a 1:00 PM reporting time, arriving at 3:00 PM will result in your ticket being invalidated. Strict New TTD Booking Rules for September 2026

First and foremost is the mandatory Aadhaar linkage for all darshan categories, including the Rs 300 Special Entry Darshan, Srivani Trust tickets, and Arjitha Sevas. Children above the age of 5 must also have their Aadhaar details entered during the booking process, or their school ID if Aadhaar is unavailable.

Another major update is the strict enforcement of the “One Ticket Per Six Months” rule for specific premium sevas. The TTD system will automatically block your booking attempt if your Aadhaar number reflects a completed premium seva within the last 180 days. For the standard Rs 300 Special Entry Darshan, the system restricts bookings to one ticket per month per Aadhaar. Devotees must also be aware that the traditional dress code (Dhoti/Kurta for men, Saree/Chudidhar with Dupatta for women) is now being checked not just at the main temple, but right at the Alipiri toll gate and the Vaikuntam Queue Complex entry points.

On June 25, 2026, the highly sought-after quotas for Senior Citizens, Physically Challenged individuals, and those with chronic medical conditions will be released at 3:00 PM. This is a dedicated queue that offers a much faster and more comfortable darshan experience for eligible devotees.

The most anticipated release happens on June 27, 2026, at exactly 10:00 AM. This is when the Rs 300 Special Entry Darshan (SED) tickets for the entire month of September will go live. History shows that weekend slots in September will sell out within the first 15 minutes of the portal opening. Finally, on June 28, 2026, TTD will release the Slotted Sarva Darshan (Free Darshan) tokens and the accommodation quotas for rooms in both Tirumala and Tirupati.

What Pilgrims Should Do Right Now

1. Create or Update Your TTD Account: Visit the official ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in website today. Ensure your mobile number is verified with an OTP and your login is active.
2. Prepare a Master List: Open a word document or notepad on your computer. Type out the full names, ages, genders, and exact 12-digit Aadhaar numbers of all family members traveling with you.
3. Log in Early on Release Day: On June 27, log into the portal at 9:45 AM. You will be placed in a virtual waiting room. Do not close this tab.
4. Keep Payment Methods Ready: Ensure your UPI app is working or your Netbanking credentials are at hand. UPI is generally the fastest payment method and reduces the risk of session timeouts.
